HAPPY BIRTHDAY
TODAY WE CELEBRATE OUR 4TH BIRTHDAY
Back in 2009 I started to post my first tutorials and applications online to share with whoever was interested and I did this on Youtube and created a free website using Weebly to host my downloads and tuts. When trying to improve my skills as a programmer I did as most people do and searched online for help and advice but after visiting loads of forums and sites I found myself getting lost and when asking for help on a lot of sites I was met with "Newb!", "If you don't know how to do this basic thing then you shouldn't be here" type of responses (if I ever got a response) and some sites even wanted me to pay just to ask a question. Some sites were helpful but most were annoying and the members were rude and kept putting me down which made me start thinking that I'm not cut out for this and I should give up because no one was helping me. I wished there was a place I could go where I wouldn't be put down, ignored or asked to pay money for help and I realised that I can't be the only person feeling this way so if there wasn't such a place then I would create one.
So on July 22nd 2009 I registered my first domain and Codenstuff.com was born. I set out on a mission to create a free and friendly community of programmers where everyone is welcome regardless of experience and will never be put down, ignored or asked for money and every member will be happy to help another if they are able. I still believe in this to this day and I'm proud that in the 4 years Codenstuff has been running we have continued this mission and will keep going for many more years to come.
New devices such as the Raspberry Pi have appeared over the last year, new mobile phones from Linux and Mozilla and tablets and wearable tech are all ready to make their debut in the very near future with loads more to come I'm sure. Various countries are now adding programming to their schools curriculum teaching kids how to code for all sorts of platforms and devices which means the demand for help and resources are only going to get higher and that is fantastic for us because we will be able to help these students rite here on Codenstuff in a knowledgable safe and friendly environment.
I won't babble on as I always do but just to say thanks to everyone who has helped to make this site what it is today and keeping it going for the last four years. I've said this before and I will say it again..we are ALL a part of a family here and we are Codenstuff.com
CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CODENSTUFF!

Nobody panick. I've got the rolls!
Thanks to #CodenStuff for making this wonderful site and still being very much involved even after 4 years. This site has really come a long way in the 3 years I've been here. Thanks to my fellow moderators for keeping it a clean and friendly environment and to all of the members for making this a unique forum and a great learning experience.
I've visited other programming forums, as I'm sure a lot of us here have done, but I've never seen a community nearly as friendly and helpful as this one. We're not all experts, and we're not that many members, but I think we're a good bunch of people. How many programming communities do you know of where members from all over the world can go and feel like they're part of one big family?
I've learned a lot on here, and I look forward to many more years of coding with you all loove;
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CODE'N'STUFF
