Defragging will just do a bunch of writes that'll kill it even more, back up your data and get a new HDD asap.

Yeah it seemed to mess up my other Windows 7 install on dual boot, luckily all my stuff is on a separate HDD and I haven't had any compatibility issues with Win 10 but it is still pre-alpha.

I decided to give Windows 10 a try for myself and installed it my laptop. sys.png I must say I'm very pleased with it so far. It's the smoothest and most responsive version of Windows I've used yet. The amount of GDDR Ram the graphics card doesn't matter at all unless you're running SLI, well, too little can be bad, but 1gb is enough for a single monitor setup, anything more doesn't increase performance noticeably.
