I'd just like to be able to record the sound of games and music such as lewis said. Don't really wanna throw a load of money away for something like camtasia when I can make a suitable thing myself for free :P. Yes I know it'll probably be terrible quality it doesn't need to be good.

I'm a windows XP user at the moment, have been ever since I got a computer. I am looking forward to getting Windows7 as my dad has it and it seems to be alot better. I think I'll skip out on Vista, heard of too many compatabillity problems there.

I learnt how to make a screen recorder recently from this site and it's all well and great but I want to know how to record the speaker sound with it, not mic sound which is the only kind of tutorial I can find. If anyone can help that'd be great.
