I am currently in the user group of "Registered" and I am getting access to the VIP category, even though I am not a VIP member! Was wanting to get this fixed so VIP members could feel more VIP and didn't have non-VIP people posting in the category. Thanks!

For starters, HTTP/S shouldn't really matter. It's just a security protocol for transferring data from the browser to the server. PM's aren't currently indicated in the notification bell but I will add them to it. You can see how many new PM's you have in the side-bar though. When I get a PM I do not get an alert and I am not sure if others do, but it'd be amazing if whenever we accessed the site, we'd get notifications in the bottom right corner of our web browser in a little rectangular box telling us we have an alert for things like messages.

A little late to reply, but try using a FORM function linking directly to the .exe file with a target of "_blank" and it might work, not sure
