Hello Coders,

ITS RED NOSE DAY!

Today is "Red Nose Day" here in the UK also known as Comic Relief and is a 24 hour event where people across the country including TV, Radio and Movie stars all get together and hold races, raffles, sporting contests, sponsored walk and its all about having fun and making eachother laugh with the main goal of raising loads of money to help the elderly and vulnerable children all over the world have a better life free from starvation, abuse and cruelty.

Later tonight Comic Relief will be on TV where TV/Movie stars will complete sponsored tasks to raise money aswell as showing special episodes of some of the most popular shows like Eastenders and Doctor Who made exclusively for Comic Relief.

These are a few examples of what the money raised is used for:

£8 could pay for ten Ugandan children to be tested for malaria so they can get a quick diagnosis and receive life-saving treatment.

£20 could pay for an hour of specialist counselling for a young person who has been sexually exploited in the UK.

£45 could pay for a child in war-affected Uganda to go to primary school for a whole year, giving them a chance at a brighter future, free from poverty.

Comic Relief is all about having fun and even if you dont live in the UK you can still enjoy the day maybe by holding a sponsored event yourself to help raise money. If anyone wants to hold any contests or games on site today then please feel free and have fun doing it.

At the end of the day I will make Codenstuff.com's donation to Comic Relief on behalf of the site and everyone who donated.

why i should Pay for African Kids or something...
if they get some Medicin now and die later , or they die now where is the difference...
For me there is no difference and because of that i will never Pay for them...

I dont think there should be a day like this, really if people want to give money african kids then they should be able to do that all year long not just on this day. If you are aloud to do this all year long i dont understand the importance of the day.

You can do it all year round its an event to make people aware that bad things are still happening and donations are still needed..plus they raise millions in just one day which is probably more than they raise all year put together.
