Hello Coders,

Some very nasty hackers are attacking sites all over the web with an SQL injection which places a URL into a site redirecting you to another site which pops up a virus alert. It tells you your computer is infected with X amount of viruses and then asks you to download antivirus software to clean your system but everything including the software is 100% fake and created solely to seperate you for your money. It is very cunning aswell because after installing and running the software it forces you to restart your computer and the next time you boot up you have no choice but to enter payment details to "purchase" the software and clean your system because it will not let you goto your desktop until youve done so.

The hackers are injecting this URL into sites: *DO NOT GO HERE!

The attack is being made on sites using Microsoft SQL apparently through a software vulnerability, the applications run on the sites themselves and not the actual server the site is on. Below is a video showing what happens when you goto one of the infected sites so you can hopefully prevent it from happening to you.

lol. As far as I know its only sites that use SQL so unless your on windows hosting/using an SQL database you will be fine. It doesnt affect MySQL so we are safe aswell :P ..I just added this topic to make you aware of it so you wont become one of its victims cooll;

so if you go to some website and u get to this. have ur computer alredy been infected or is it ok to close it? dose it infect ur computer when it loads the website or when u download the *FAKE* softwear?

When you download the fake software
It lets you pay when you start your pc so there's no way out (I didn't test it yet , but I assume there isn't)

But won't rebooting the comp and then formatting help? Because we can run the format process when the computer actually starts. I got this once (or I think twice, can't remember) and was really tensed! I got it working after formatting the comp. It happened many years before, when I didn't even knew anything special about comp. I was just a user. And I remember it showed some shortcuts about porn on my desktop and I guess they were just to confuse me that it's a virus and I really have to install the av to remove the viruses lol.

Came to me like 2-3 times, and once on my brothers, he thought it was real, but before he pressed download i said close it fast, its a virus. (and we all have windows 7 lol)

I know how viruses act.
