Fraudulent Payments
CodenStuff
Hello Coders,

I have added a new section to the "Laws of the community" thread which adds a new rule regarding fraud. Recently we have had a few members making donations and buying our software which have been flagged up as being unauthorised/fraudulent by Paypal account holders. Now personally I believe most of these to be people who make a payment to get what they want and then saying "Oh I didnt make this payment I want my money back" and reversing their payments effectively getting things for free and committing FRAUD!.

This new rule covers (but is not limited to) donations, software and credit purchases and if a transaction is reversed due to fraud then anything earned from that transaction will be removed. For example if someone makes a donation to gain VIP access and that donation turns out to be fraud then that person will have their VIP status removed or if someone buys a lot of credits and purchases a USB drive fraudulently then that drive will not be sent.

I will point out that so far most of these fraudulent transactions have been from new members and not our existing dedicated members but these fraudulent transactions could impact the future of the site and we will be tackling this issue in the next site update.

Thank you.

What if they purchase an app and then reverse the payment? How will that work?

They wont receive any future updates and the software will be rendered useless.
