2) No offensive language what so ever, if you use offensive language your post will be deleted and you may receive a warning. All racist, sexist or homophobic abuse will result in the offender being permanently banned from the site!.

3) Spam posts. Please do not post links, images, downloads or videos that are offensive and/or have nothing to do with the topic you are posting in. *

If you post such material on codenstuff.com you will recieve a warning for EACH violation and if you get 3 warnings your account will be removed and you will be banned from codenstuff.com. Neither myself or other members want to see spam on the site so I will ask you very nicely to please do not post such material here.

The spam rule also applies to excessive use of links within your posts or signature for example adding a link(s) to other websites in EVERY post you submit on the site. If you want to include a link to your own or someone elses website you can do this by adding it in your user profile settings.

4) Keep on topic. If someone asks for help please only reply if the content you are posting is relevant to that topic.
If you wish to thank someone for a post please use the "Thanks" button and/or give them thanks via reputation.

If you require help with something please post your query in the relevant section and someone will respond to you as soon as they can. In the event that you do need to contact a member of staff please only send 1 private message and wait for a reply.

9) Admins/Moderators are here to keep the community a clean and friendly place to be and they will not tolerate any abuse on themselfs or other members. 11) New members are required to make a minimum of 5 posts before being able to download any files attached to posts. A minimum of 5 posts are also required in order to use the mini-chat box located at the base of the main community page. Do NOT spam the board with pointless posts just to get your count up so you can download files and use the chat box.

Pointless posts include simple messages such as: "Thanks", "Great", "Nice", "I like this" etc. Make a post in the "Introduce Yourself" section and say hello and let us know a bit about you. We would realy like to get to know any new members and we hope you will become a part of our community. If anyone is caught "spamming" the board with pointless posts then ALL your posts will be removed and your post count reduced to ZERO and you will receive a warning. If you are caught spamming for a second time your account will be banned.

We will now be issuing temporary bans for obvious spam posts which can be anything from 30 minutes to a permanant ban (depending on the severity of your posts). Moderators will use their descretion to decide how long the ban should be.

We reserve the rite to change/add to these rules at any time without notice.

Thank you.

Mini-Chat box
CodenStuff
Hello,

Codenstuff.com does have its own mini-chat box based at the bottom of the community index page which is available to all members to chat about programming or anything in general.

The rules of conduct for the site DO apply to the chat box aswell so please be aware of this when using it.

Please do not discuss anything in the chat box which violates any of the main site rules of conduct or you will be banned from using the chat box for a set period of time. If you see any members having a discussion about a project or asking for help please do not bombard the chat box with pointless messages because not only is it rude but it makes it harder for anyone needing help to get the help they need.

The chat box is here for your benefit and is a great way to interact and talk with your fellow members and we dont want to discourage anyone from using it but please be considerate and aware of other members using it and what they are discussing before jumping in.

Thank you.

VIP Access - Rules
CodenStuff
Rules for VIP Members,

The VIP section is for use by VIP members only to access and post exclusive content such as downloads, tutorials and code snippets. Any VIP member is welcome to post any such content in the VIP section for other members of the group to access and use but the following rules apply.

1) Do not share any VIP content with non-VIP and non-Codenstuff.com users unless you have permission from the original author/poster to do so.

2) Do not share your account details with any other member so that they can access the VIP section using your username.

3) Please do not copy any of the content from the VIP section and post it into the general community sections. This goes with rule 1.

The VIP section is available because we wanted to give something back to our donators as a thank you for their support and help with keeping the site running. VIP access is also given to a small number of people as a prize for entering and winning certain contests because we like to reward people for their efforts and hard work.

Anyone breaking any of the above rules could have their VIP Status permanently removed and you could also recieve a warning or be banned from the site.

File Uploads/Offsite Links
CodenStuff
Rules regarding file uploads and offsite links to file downloads

Uploads:
All members are free to share their software, apps, web scripts, source-code, projects, media and any other content related to programming by uploading them to the site. Currently we have no limit on the number of files each member can upload with the following exceptions: You are only allowed to upload a maximum of 3 files per post and no file can exceed 3MB in size - Image, Zip and RAR files are permitted.

Offsite Links:
If your files are too large and/or not in a format allowed on the site then you may use the offsite link feature to share your files on Codenstuff.com providing the following rules are followed.

These rules apply to both uploads and offsite links:

1) Do not share images/videos/links/downloads or any content on codenstuff.com that contain illegal/infectable/abusive or sexual content.

2) Do NOT disguise your links or deceive others by stating your download/file is something other than what you described in your post. ie: Saying its a web browser but in reality its just a text file zipped up.

3) You must only use the offsite link feature for FILES relating to programming and the site in general. Do not use it for linking to Youtube videos, your own website, other websites or anything else unrelated to programming/the site or goes against any of the other rules.

4) You will NOT attempt to tamper with the upload/offsite link features or hack or misuse these them in any way other than intended.

5) You will NOT share content that does not belong to you without permission from the original author and if we are in doubt we will ask for proof of consent. Failure to provide reasonable proof will result in your file/link being removed.

All Moderators on site will Warn/Ban any members who are found to be breaking these or any other site rules and reserve the right to delete/edit/lock/move any content that violates them without notice. We get a lot of uploads here and expect a big rise in uploads in the near future so we will now operate a 6 month cleanup of dead files which means any file the hasn't had a single download within a 6 month period will be deleted. If a file hasnt been download in 6 months then its obviously no longer needed and just taking up space which can be put to better use and allow more newer content to be added.

These rules stand as of: 25th January 2011 but again we reserve the right to change them in the future if we need too.

Purchases/Donations and Topups
CodenStuff
Donations:
When you make a donation to the site it is to help keep the site online by helping with the running/development costs. You are not buying anything physical nor non-physical goods - A donation is a donation and not a purchase. We (Codenstuff.com) give you VIP status as a thank you for your generous donation and although we are not obligated to do so we do this because we like to reward our members for their help.

Software Purchases:
These are non-physical goods sent to you via email as a download when you buy any of our official software. The money raised from these purchases again gets put back into the site to help with the running costs and future development.

Topups:
Here on Codenstuff.com we operate a FREE credit system which is used for many features around the site. You earn credits just by using the site as normal but you can also complete free offers or purchase them directly using various payment methods such as Paypal/Mobile/Credit Cards and again all funds earned from topups are put back into the site. You can then use your credits to download files, activate site features such as VIP and eventually to purchase our software.

Fraud:
If payments for any of the above features are reversed/reported as fraud/unauthorised then any benefits you earned from those transactions ie: software/VIP WILL be revoked and you could also have your account banned from the site. We (Codenstuff.com) do not allow any type of illegal activity/content on this site which includes fraudulent payments and as a member of this site you are bound by these rules and accept any action taken against you should you break them.
