ASSLAM-O-ALAIKUM | HELLO
I downloaded and installed Mozilla Thunderbird for the first time, And connected it to my Yahoo Account. (using POP3).
The problem is that It start downloading all the emails that were in my inbox (old) and in my inbox there are more than 30K+ emails, I want that it should only download emails that I receive after installing it.
And if possible it should not download, It should show me the email without downloading to my Comp.
Anyone,
Thanks In Advance,

The thing you're thinking of, is something completely different; so different that it's a protocol.
You're talking about the Internet Message Access Protocol (or IMAP). In this protocol, the message is not downloaded, but is just cached from the Mail Server.

Here are Yahoo's IMAP settings for you to add to Thunderbird:
Incoming Server - imap.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing Server - smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Incoming Port - 993 (requires SSL)
Outgoing Port - 465 (requires SSL/TLS)
Username: full email address (for example, bill@yahoo.com or bill@rocketmail.com)
Password: the password you login to Yahoo! with.

hmmm I do exactly as you said.
It is loading all the messages, That are in my inbox But very fastly, Means it is not downloading. It is cached from Mail server.
But see in the picture below:
I see the properties of Inbox folder, and it is saying Size on Disk
and on the bottom, It is saying that Downloading Messages.
Means It is downloading? because it is consuming space. :(

When you use an IMAP account in Thunderbird it will try to download all the messages (according to their article here).
