No matter how much I try, I'm unable to install DirectX End-user runtime (or whatever it is). I keep getting the message "An internal system error occurred" and it refers to 2 log files. I can't figure out anything and can't get many games to work as they pop a message in my face saying a certain dx3d9.dll or other similar files are missing. As the directx setup is not working, I manually download and place the dll files into the game folders. But I think the game doesn't work very well by doing this process. For instance, Bioshock Infinite has no sound at all. After setting the compatibility setting to Win XP SP3 the sound works but only in the intros, not even in the menus. Grid 2 also had distorted sound as if the speakers are bursting.

I've attached the log files and I'll be glad if someone can point me in the right direction.

The problem was solved simply solved by running the setup as an administrator. I felt so stupid when I figured it out. I tried all kinds of complicated solutions but didn't think of this.

I'm posting this now for anyone else who encounters this error.
