3.5mm Jack

So I was asking if I plug in a 3.5mm jack headset with microphone, in manage audio devices can I adjust the settings of the microphone?

i believe it depends on what audio driver you have installed, i have Realtek and every time i plug in a headset with microphone i can change the levels from the Realtek panel.
But it can also be done by following this steps http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935309

I don't think you could control both from the same jack, since there is only one positive and negative "lead" on your jack.

Unless your driver somehow quickly alternates between the microphone and the headphones (don't know how lol), I don't think ot would work.

Waaaaaaait, XTechVB, is you're headset a 3.5mm jack or 2.5mm jack?(2 Wires Microphone and Audio)
