Photoshop not letting me save

ok so recntly photoshop wont let me save my edited photos(not the save for web abd devices feature, the other one) i click save as... and nothing happens, no dialog no messages---nothing
i tried editing the preferences for file handeling and nothing happens any suggestions

Hey
Just re-Install Photoshop, Overwriting the other Version and it all should be fine when you Launch it again.
**Remember to save any CUSTOM Patterns/shapes/Plugins etc that you have made..
