so i wanted to try out mac osx lion, see if i like it or not, and maybe buy it
and since i didnt want to dual boot it, i put it virtual box
but everytime i run it it says
"VT-x/AMD-v hardware accelleration, but is not operational. certain guests require this(e.g. OS2 and QNX)
Please ensure that you have enabled VT-x/AMD-v properly in the BIOS of your host computer"
ok ive looked around a lot but i can't find the fix for it, anyone else know??
also if i do end up dual bootting it, is it safe or will it reset me coputer and end its life

Your manufacturer might be able to provide more information on this.
i have an Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz, 2401 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
and as far as BIOS goes
LENOVO 44CN36WW, 7/11/2011

According to Intel's site the i5-2430M processor has support for VT-x.
However there isn't any mention of VT-x support in Lenovo's readme for this BIOS version.
You can try to enable the virtualization option by going to your BIOS config page. If you don't see the option there then the next step would be to contact Lenovo and check with them to see whether it is supported for this system.
