The top left border could have used some color shades, cuz if someone uses it in an application, it won't look good.

Simple needs gradients, and I'd say smooth out the bevel, if you used Gimp's layer effect script just merge the two layer masks down that create the bevel, and give it say a 16px gaussian blur, and duplicate it once, and it should smooth it down pretty nice.
