All this does is give the file a different extension. Video files are way more complex than just the extension itself, it all depends on how the file itself is encoded. A .avi has a completely different structure than a .mp4.

Also, for the reply who said this could be used for text files, a .doc, a .txt, and a .rtf are all completely different. A .docx isn't even a document file at all, it's really a .zip.

Seems quite useful in the first place, but practically useless. All it does is copy a file and change its extension, which doesnt mean its codec is changed too, nor its file size. Nice to know this stuff but useless for converstion cryer;
