Not to call you stupid, but have you thought of extracting the files before running the application. That could be the cause of your problems.

Good, because I've tried it without extracting the files and it does in fact give me error messages when I try to load the media player.

Os's sound interesting but they take a lot of work, and there seems to be a lot of OS's around lately but maybe I might try to work on myself and set it up as a group project with people who are working on an OS
