I found a desktop computer in my attic recently, but have no monitor to use it with. I am wondering if there is a way to use the screen on my laptop with the desktop.

Perhaps, depends on the computer, does it support LCD cables?

If we knew, then the question wouldn't be here.

There would be a lot of tweaking required to directly link the LCD ribbon cable into a VGA port, so it would probably not be feasible.
An easier option would be to use remote desktop over a network connection.

You can install remote control software from a different system if you have the right access permissions.

If you have a spare TV then that would be another option.
