Margarine was originally manufactured to fatten turkeys. When it killed the turkeys, the people who had put all the money into the research wanted a payback so they put their heads together to figure out what to do with this product to get their money back.
It was a white substance with no food appeal so they added the yellow coloring and sold it to people to use in place of butter. How do you like it? They have come out with some clever new flavorings....

DO YOU KNOW.. The difference between margarine and butter?
Read on to the end...gets very interesting!

Both have the same amount of calories.

Butter is slightly higher in saturated fats at 8 grams; compared to5 grams for margarine.

Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating the same amount of butter, according to a recent Harvard Medical Study.

Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in other foods.
Butter has many nutritional benefits where margarine has a few and only because they are added!
Butter tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavors of other foods.

Butter has been around for centuries where margarine has been around for less than 100 years.

And now, for Margarine..
Very High in Trans fatty acids.
Triples risk of coronary heart disease ...
Increases total cholesterol and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) and lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol)

Increases the risk of cancers up to five times..

Lowers quality of breast milk

Decreases immune response.

Decreases insulin response.

And here's the most disturbing fact... HERE IS THE PART THAT IS VERY INTERESTING!

Margarine is but ONE MOLECULE away from being PLASTIC... and shares 27 ingredients with PAINT

These facts alone were enough to have me avoiding margarine for life and anything else that is hydrogenated (this means hydrogen is added, changing the molecular structure of the substance).

Open a tub of margarine and leave it open in your garage or shaded area. Within a couple of days you will notice a couple of things:

* no flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something)

* it does not rot or smell differently because it has no value ; nothing will grow on it. Even those teeny weeny micro-organisms will not a find a home to grow. Why? Because it is nearly plastic. Would you melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast?

I don't like butter nor margarine, so that shouldn't be a problem to me :D

That's intereting, I actually have been using margarine all my life, because I thought it was healthier than butter.

Although I'm not completely convinced margarine is as bad as you say, I will say this:

If we were to check out the ingredients of everything we ate every day, we would find that margarine or butter is really the least of our problems.

You won't find many things that contain no added preservatives, and honestly, how manu things do you think really are 100% bio.

As for the garage experiment, you could reproduce the same results with pretty much anything from McDonald's just to name one source.

I agree that we might not be eating what we think we're eating, but honestly, there's way more than just margarine that might kill us every day.
Really, just spending time on this forum is exposing all of us to harmful radiation from the devices we use, not to mention the electromagnetic waves from our routers, our phones, televisions, etc.

So: this midday ill put a bit of margarine in the garage and check it out. If its true I wont eat any more margarine etc. Thx for the info mike :D

If you were to look at probably 99.9% of all Manufactured foods and saw how they were made or what was in them, we would not want to eat it.

Haveing Masses of Consumers make company's create all these foods for everyone to eat. Just think of some of the foods that you/we/all eat everyday.

The only way to eat healthily is to Grow your own food without pesticides and the whatnot they put on it/into it to get great yeilds.

The more people eat all the Crap that they can get in the supermarkets, then the more company's will churn it out too you and make a nice tidy profit at your/our expense.

You're right hungry. However the main problem is most people aren't fully awakened. Hence why Occupy Wall Street was created, but that shows most people the corruption with world corporations, and their still buying, and eating what these individuals have created, and are getting more money on top of it, but don't get me started on how they get their profits. However most seem to be waiting, or supporting whomever for this next election instead of making actions to help some individuals threw this current era. Food pantries are packed higher now than ever, and there's people that leave without food, even some of the people that volunteer there, and to get threw this people need to share land and start planting more. Although people just don't want to share land, and that looks to me where Occupy Wall Street movement would need to move next, but with a new name, as the collapse of the dollar is coming, and the US still continues to increase spending even though we're massively in debt, and we need to cut spending like Ron Paul says, and I don't see the Federal Reserve doing anything to fix that as their a private financial institution (When you have time read: The Federal Reserve: Helping the Rich Get Richer)

Anyway I can go on, and on about the corruption, although that'll only help you on history, which is important to know, but it's still important to know about natural health benefits, as well as negative health effects.
