I have to agree with Scottie on this : = YOU all know the RULES

If they have been Decompiling anyones apps/ work then YES i think a Ban is warranted, Just because someone says "I wont do it again" Would always have me thinking " I wonder if its still happening " and just because WE dont hear about it happening = does'nt mean its not going on....

They cant think much of us all on here if they are Openly Saying they are doing it..

IMO , decompiling isn't a bad thing , but Decompiling & sharing or Decompiling & making profit is very bad

Yea what actually dissapoints me is that decompilers that are still doing that won't get banned while they are reported by the users , but when I reported someone no one ever listened, thanks for that

Hello everyone,

As you may have remembered the situation which happened to me; A *person* (moderator) who decompiled my work and posted/shared the source-code "to prove it was safe".
That *person* didn't get a ban, when it states in the rules they will get a ban.

So unless he(*person*) gets a ban i don't think NecroPhis should get a ban forever but maybe like for some days.
And i totally agree with scottie but, its not fair if some people get a ban and some don't, am i right ?


but i think it should only be CodenStuff who decides, unless CodenStuff decides to take other actions...

i think for now just a severe warning, but if there suspected or caught decompiling they should be permanetly banned straight away

EDIT: That only applied to Necrophis and who ever admitted above to decompiling from users on here

How would you feel if you spent countless hours doing web searches from search engines and god know how many websites... just to find bits and peices of code just so you can get your application to work just the way you want it too. Just to have someone decompile your hard work and post it in another forum? Without asking you if he/she could do that.


This is why TRUE members of this website share code amoung each other and try to help out in any way that they can. I have sent hours, days, weeks even months developing applications. And along the way I have collected a very large
collection of snippets. I have tried to share my library of snippets with everyone. I even created snippet apps and a website that is open to the public. But not only that, Me and the other MODs here have worked very hard to make this website the best coders website that we can.
BUT!!!
When stupid stuff like this is going on it takes away from the other members and may push away new members.


So this is what need to happen!
If you guys have anymore
"Blam someone else" issues
or
"But this person did it"
then send it in a PM!

As far as this issue is concerned.
It will be left up to the Administration of Codenstuff.com.

1# I am not protecting him! i have been in the same situation and CodenStuff can confirm who (*person*) is, you can ask him but i didn't want to say anything. Please.... get it right.

2# As i said i have been in the same situation where a mod (*person*) decompiled my work, ask CodenStuff if you want more info.

I feel as Necro should not be banned. The code was already on the site, expressed in a topic, and Necro (basically) just reposted it. What if someone took the code from a YouTube video, made a program (with source), and someone reposted it? Would they be banned?

Of course not.

But of course, I agree that some type of punishment should be placed upon him for a decompilation, maybe a warning that counts as 2, or loss of all credits, but I really feel as no ban is warranted here. The code was already here. For all we know, he just took the code from the topic and posted it.

I am not trying to defend Necro, rather just pointing out the un-neededness of banning him.
