Vik, I think you got the disease of CAPS from vb of course. And kolega, notebook is another name for laptops. And I think I'll go for a laptop. Which company do you prefer?

a notebook is not exactly a laptop usman read on wikipedia notebooks are versions of laptops wich are very small about 10 inches and they have mostly 1.86ghz cpu's which is very small but they last long on battery and dont use ASUS'es they have hard drives that break in 2 months of using and that said a man from an ASUS shop and thats true that happended to ppl i know too

I currently use a laptop, and only need to charge it once every day or two, and i use it a lot. sometimes i wish i had a desktop because you can easily change ram, processors, graphics cards, etc. when it gets outdated or something.

If you are going be using many programs at once, I would suggest a desktop computer, they can handle more programs at once than a laptop. And most of the cases they live longer too.

Yeah, I will be programming at the most. I also want to tell you that my current desktop computer's ram is 256 MB and Hard Drive only 40 GB. And it worked excellently well but sometimes a bit slow. So I don't think a laptop will hurt me at all! Cuz I will buy a good one with at least 6GB RAM and maybe 500+ GB Hard Drive space so it will make a huge change in my programming+designing life!
