There is always a Way to find out where it saves the Text.
I Downloadet the Program and anyway i like the Graphical Interface,but i rate to do a Chat via Winsocket TCP/IP in Combination with mySQL and maybe FTP ;)

why would you use FTP /mysql for a chat if you already use TCP?

mysql for saving username,password etc
ftp could be used for userimages and other things.

MySql haha never a good idea if you ask me to unsecured if you ask me you could do it tcp or even udp but the traffic usage would be through the roof believe me I k know lol I have been working on a full chat system for years and still haven't perfected the communications I'm at the point of asking for people to help me with it I went ou and got TFS 2010 so me and my team could work on it when I get a team that's why I love my legal know how meand people can't screw me over

If u use some Encrypt/Decrypt Methods to Secure the Passwords and IP´s then its Secure enough.

not really if you use direct mysql connection using the .net mysql connector it sends the login info for the db using plain text and you can get it with some simple applications from online
