So what you're saying is that DVDs are better than flash drives in terms of reliability. So basically, what kind of a DVD is the most reliable? (My head is spinning right now, maybe because I have been reading books for continuous 5 hours, lol).

In my own Opinion, I would have far more trust in Recordable DVD's than any Drive when using as a Backup Device.
Drives can just FAIL (without WARNING) at any time
A good Make like Sony or Philips DVD's would be my first choice.
As i have said above, This is my Choice and my Opinion having had enough experience with Failing Drives over the years.

Okay, but haven't you tried Flash Drives? Aren't they reliable too?
