So sometimes I put my computer to sleep and go away for about 8 hours and I come back to my computer, open it up, put on youtube, and no sound comes out. I know there should be sound coming out because the volume mixer shows there is audio playing, but I can't hear anything even when I plug-in my earphones. Although when I plug in my Turtle Beaches sound does come out. The only way I could figure to fix this was to restart my computer, but that is a hassle. Is there anyway to work-around this?

Or reinstall them. There seems to be a conflict somewhere. Uninstall them, restart computer, and then troubleshoot sound driver problem by clicking on the sound icon in the taskbar. The troubleshooter will install the necessary drivers automatically.

Make sure you haven't used a hot-key on your laptop like mine is fn and f10 ='D
