Here's are a few designs I made in Nodewerk during the night.
1st. 2nd. 3rd. This next one was almost completely done in Nodewerk..

I used GIMP to make a cyan burn layer mode effect to make it look more like a vortex and less like a clouded spiral. Overwrote the original rendered image and began modifying that in Nodewerk and wallah.
This app has some very powerful implications... (Here are 3 examples by mpeutz)
