Question About SQLServer Express

Hello there!
I have a questio for you Masters.... I have a problem with my SQLserver, How I can to connect/open a DataBase, for example, the famous NORTWHIND, o something, cause, the program don´t permit me create a conection, and how i can do for that my computer can become a database server???
