Hello,

If such a website exists please let me know its URL because ive never heard of one lol. Every now and then when im looking on social sites likes Twitter and Facebook I always wonder why noone has made a sort of super social site, a one-stop-spot where you can put and view peoples online information.

Like a social network but where you can put all your information like: Emails, which social sites you use, what sites you visit regularly, favourite food/music/movies etc, favourite and most used software and anything else you can think of about yourself and maybe even store your passwords that you use on all these sites.

I know you can put this stuff on Facebook but I dont mean a full blown social network I mean something where you can create a profile about you literally everything you are and everything you do in this one place. I think something like that would be awesome because as an example say I needed to get intouch with a friend but all I had was an email and didnt know any sites my friend was a member of but his email changed for whatever reason and I had no way of getting intouch but if I went to this super site I could type in his name and area where he lives and eureka hes on there and I can now get back intouch because his current email is on it.

And it could hold other info like person feedback. Like if there an Ebay trader and they scam you you can goto this site and add a comment warning other people that this person is a scammer/spammer or hacker and stuff like that.

The amount of times ive been asked if I have a Twitter, Facebook or MySpace account is unbelievable but if this super site existed then everyone could just go there and find out.

It would be good for combating these internet predators aswell so you could goto the site and find out where else this person is a member of and see if there info matches up, be great for parents to do that.

Is there anything like this online?. If not then why the bloomin heck not lol there should be...I would use it!

i made something like that a few years ago in php..the batabase was unreal!~
The user could 100% customize there pages and add music and either links or frames to there other social pages. It took me about 6 months to write. And it ate up alot of bandwidth for that time period. Now it probly would fase it.

anyway everything was stored into the database. from the user entered data to the css properties..it included media and or text data for display.(embeded flv or mp3) all completely controlled bu the user's input. It wouldnt be difficult to set it back up. I back a complete backup of he DB and pages stored on a DVD...somewhere...

anyway, i just wanted to say that i at one time wanted to build my "All In One" social site and was about 90% complete with it.

Yes Scottie why dont you bring it back to life?. I was thinking last night aswell about if the users opted to share their information (give permission to use it for marketing and stuff) the owner of the site could make a fortune from it. Like they could sell all the users favourite music preferences to apple itunes and things like that.

But mainly the site would be used for people to create a "Internet ID" that could eventually be used/integrated with other sites for user authentication etc. People could also list there skills/qualifications and then employers could use it to find potential employees and well the amount of things you could use a site like that for is mind blowing if you think about it.

Plus we are at a time where people dont mind sharing their personal information but obviously the site would need security and some privacy settings. I just dont understand why noone has ever done it because im pretty sure it would lift off and be quite successfull because theres nothing else like it anywhere else :?.
