iRead - Book reading application
Posted: Fri Jul 30, 2010 2:25 pm
Hello everyone,
Lately I have been getting bored coding since everything I want to make has already been made, So I thought long and hard and came up with an application that I think no-one has made, And the application was named iRead.
Previews
Well I am not going too tell you about an application and then not show you some previews, well in fact I have some previews and there will be some paragraphs about what you see and how they will function and a basic description on the programs, so without further ado, here is the previews: &
And that's the previews.
Dock
Well The dock will hold all of your books, though when you get books there is a limit on how much books you can have, There is 4 books per row ( 4 x 4 = 16 ) so you will have a limit of 16 books there will be a feature too remove books when you have read them so you can read all of the books and read ones you have already read, as you can see i have only added one book so far, if you want too help and send me some stories ( the full story, the title and a picture preview if you can ). Note: The button will not be a generic button, that is just for tests.
Get Books
This feature is not yet integrated but in the release it definitely will be, As you may guess this will bring up a new form that will show you a library of books, to get the books there will be a get button ( I might put in a credits system - that is unlikely since there will be no way to earn them ) and also there would be an info button that will give you the name, image and maybe a small extract of the book that i will personally put into the box.
Make books.
This option will allow you to make books for your own use, this means that you cant publish them to everyone else, unless you want them too add it themselves - that's up too you. But sometime in the future I will try to add a real publish feature as it does sound pretty good and I'm sure others would like too read your work or whatever you might of copied out of a book, When you click this button you will be prompted with a form - this button is not yet in function - You will enter the Title of the story, The Contents of the story and if you want an image of the story, And the only button would be 'make' to obviously add it to the dock - this story can also be removed.
The reading.
The reading form will contain the story and a picture of the story - this doesn't have anything to explain.
So as you can see I am dedicated too this project and will keep trying to update it, I hope you like the sound of it, That's it for now,
Lewis.
Updates. ( When I add more stuff, i will post or add it here )
