Hey All
You know we have the "REP" System which not a lot of people are using, But instead are posting their Comments into the Threads themselves :? and spoiling the Threads, And i have pointed this out about 2-3 times but i see its still happening devil;

So what i thought might be a great idea is to have THREAD POLICE, and what they do is Look at all the Posts that SHOULD NOT BE THERE and then act accordingly , and that could be Tempory Bans,Removal of Credits,Loss of VIP and privaledges and so on wahooo; wahooo; wahooo;

So Guys what do you think ??

If you think its a great Idea then just reply to this Thread ( But be carefull tho as the THREAD POLICE will be watching

I would hate to have to do that to anyone, But you can see where this is going? I just want YOUR Thoughts on this matter as I dont seem to be getting through to the People who are filling the Threads with comments that really need to be done by Pm or the Rep System.

So i thought it would be a good idea to post this up so others can comment, and if you can think of a way that will STOP it , Rather than use my tactics above then let us all know..

Yeah. I dont mind this system. It will get abused alot if people fall out.

I am just thinking aloud here, and telling People USE THE REP SYSTEM just does not seem to be getting through

So i really just posted up what i was thinking at the time, Codenstuff has a GREAT System in place, but to really get the Message across, Do we need something else in Place to ENFORCE it eg: like the Thread Police ( just a name i thought up ), As it keeps happening in the Threads and I am dissapointed that some people just dont THINK before they post Comments, and too be honest that was what the REP SYSTEM is all about....

If someone posts something like a piece of Code and then 4 people start a debate on that Thread about the Origins of where that code came from or Whatever , Instead of say sending a Pm to the author of the Post or Use the REP System to add your Comments, and at least give the Author chance to change his Post or add Credit where credit is due etc, etc.

It just makes for better Reading in the posts when people THINK before they act

Well it sounds good but i'm not sure if it will help...

Maybe loss of VIP to people who bought it with credits or contest but not payers... because if I paid for a game and then played it wrong, the developers of the game cannot just take it back... but everything else in your topic, I agree

This would be a good system, as some posts are just spam and useless and some people just post stuff to start arguments. Would love to see this in place and working cooll;

Well something has to start getting through to You all ;) I mean if we say "Dont post stupid/Negative Comments or whatever" in the Posts/Threads, BUT "Use the REP SYSTEM" Instead, And then everyone Ignore's it :? What do you think we are gonna do. :roll:

Example Post 1 = BAD
"I saw this code on another site and i think you have stolen it"

Example Post 1 = GOOD
"Hey thanks for the code, I have sent you a pm about it as i need more info"

**You can see how the SECOND EXAMPLE Post makes for much better reading and by Contacting the Member who posted it will either let him, add Credit to the Original Author, and/or reply to you about the thread and its Origins.

I am just really posting this UP as a WAKEUP CALL, So that our Guests/Members dont have to read all the Rubbish that a lot of People like Posting in the Posts/Threads.....And it looks better without all the Bickering/Dissing and argueing, as i keep saying "Its spoiling the Threads"

So Please If you want to add Negative Comments = DONT do it in the Posts

USE THE REP SYSTEM

We are supposed to be a Friendly site and welcome NEW Members and NOT SLAG them off in the Posts.

I will be DE-REPPING all Negative Posts wahooo; from now on = So there will be NO EXCUSE
