Its been Snowing here now since 2am this Morning, I Love Snow and we dont seem to get a lot of it nowdays here in the UK (well not here in my Area we dont :( So its a welcome change to the usual cold days we have had lately...

Where i live its been snowing like crazy for 1 week, it hasn't stopped, and its first time from like 20 if not more years since it has snowed this early and this much, its like 30 cm's if not more.

Where I live there never has ever been any snow but sometimes, when raining, small pieces of ice fall. Never seen snow!

Its stopped snowing here for now and its all turning slushy outside..I was out this morning and almost fell over twice and nearly dropped my milk all over the road.

We had another download of snow last night so we have about 5-6 inches of snow with the Old Snow (Ice) Underneath :( the Main Roads are not to bad but the side Roads round my way are just Ice Rinks I have seen lots of cars getting no traction and even the Guy over the road to me tried to get his Car out earlier, he got no traction once he backed out of his driveway, then he gave up and decided to walk his Kids to School, But I think they must have closed the school as he came back with them, then he tried again with the kids in the Car and backed out then after about 20 mins he gave up

So Yeah the snow is causing real problems here in the UK, Its totally mad tho when you think of Austria/France/Switzerland, They seem to cope with it and a lot more than us, and we as a Country just grind to a HALT :(

Its been snowing on and off here all day and added about another 2 inches..its like your area with all the "main" roads clear but every single road around me..side streets and everything are still completely covered.

Its stupid how buses/trains and schools just stop when it snows I mean the english weather is always cold one way or another so they should be able to cope. They should have learnt from last years events..but people panic these days as soon as they see the first snow flake its like "England in state of emergency buses trains and planes suspended as man sees snow flake!"

I saw on the news this morning that they spray some kind of liquid onto airport runways and it stops ice from forming on the runways for 24 hours:? ...why the heck dont they use this on public roads aswell.

The councils stocked up on grit this year but I bet my life savings that they run out again :lol:

Last year there was insade with snow and ice here in south-west norway, it was snow for like 2 and a half months! But now its nothing!
