RESULTS:
After testing both entries unfortunately I had problems using both of them and different errors so I had to base my decision on their features. Both apps were really well designed and had loads of features but again based on features I have made my decision.

The winner is: Scottie1972 for his mail machine

Now because (disappointingly) only 2 people entered there is no loser in this contest. For being a good sport and taking part in the contest XTechVB will also receive an award and 50 credits for his email sender entry.

After creating a new SoTW contest with a valentines theme I remembered a romantic movie called "You've got mail" which is the inspiration behind this contest and the title says it all really. This is the first official contest of 2011 and long overdue because we havent had one in quite a while lol.

In this contest your job is to make an e-mail application and the more features you can add to it the better. So instead of just a simple e-mail sender try to add other things like:

Send HTML emails
Sending e-mails to groups of people
Sending newsletters
Saving contacts name/email

You can make it do anything you want really and when deciding the winner we will be looking for things like features, design, ease of use etc. You cannot enter an application that you've already made and added to the site it must be new and all your own work.

This contest will end on the 27th February and the winner announced on the 28th.

Prize for this contest will be: 2GB USB Flash Drive and a contest winner award

What do you mean by "Send HTML emails"

Hmm, i'm not quite sure if i will make it, i got 6 test in school during 2 weeks from 10/2 to 25/2...

I was about to post a comment but then stopped myself lol. I think the HTML means that we can add HTML tags like pics and links.

html in here means makin a website that you can send In an email so not tags its making the whole email in html

Websites are made from tags... I think! By tags I meant the whole html stuff.

I think i understand what CodenStuff meant, to be able to add HTML tag, like

I will enter this. Do we post submissions here? Also by HTML I guess you just mean hyperlinks, pictures and stuff?

By HTML I mean send emails with HTML instead of plain text. Like if you put <b>Codenstuff</b> into the email text it would appear in bold to the recipient..all the emails you get with images and links inside them are HTML
