A strange but fun afternoon

Hello Coders,
OK so this afternoon I spent with my dad who invited me over and we just chilled out and had a couple of drinks in the local pub (thats a bar/club for anyone whos not familiar with the english pub lol).
Anyway we were talking and then my step mum who works at this pub her shift was coming to an end and the bar maid that took her place was her friend and strangely enough I found out that she was the mother of my very first girlfriend which I had when I was a bout 8 years old and as soon as I heard her daughters name 'Hailey' I went into flashback mode. She didnt remember me but to be honest I never saw her that much when I was younger I was just interested in her daughter lol. Anyway her daughters name is Hailey and we were BF and GF when we were younger but unfortunately her mum (the bar maid I spoke to) had to move away but the day they moved was valentines day and just minutes before they moved away I remember Hailey posted a letter written in crayon and a little teddy bear..it was 2 teddys cuddling eachother with a heart in the middle.and yes OK we were only about 8 years old but she was my first GF and I "Loved" her and she broke my heart when she moved away even though I know it wasnt her fault lol. Sadly Hailey wasnt there today but I asked her mum and my dad to ask her if she remembers me and that teddy bear the next time they see her...and now I just have to wait and see lol. Apparently she is married now with kids which is great but it would be brilliant to know if she remembers me or not..remember we were only 8 at the time so im hopeing she will remember it..especially the teddy bear thing.
It was a weird afternoon because as soon as Haileys name cropped up I suddenly had visions of all my other old GF's from when I was younger and started to wonder what happened to them and if I would ever see any of them again.
Its really odd how just one word, name or smell or something can trigger an old memory that you thought was long forgotten but leaves you wondering what could have been and whats happened to them.
Anyone else had anything like that happen lately?
