also if i drag preview into the tab control and i switch back and forward the tabs to check how it looks it just starts flickering stuff all over and crashes

You didn't tell what is asked
do you know where the 'Edit' button is for ?

Works fine on Windows 7 Home Edition (64 bit)
but upon pressing new document it freezes momentarily
What you should add
under tags you should add I forget the one for Trademark

I get the same exception as dj1437 when using this in XP SP3 32-bit, though win 7 SP1 32-bit seems ok.
When this runs it keeps trying to download a template from codeproject.
