Official Website: http://alternativeapps.tk/

ok so here's the deal I made this website awhile back, and I finally got around to working on it.

For thoughs that are unaware of what Alternative Apps is, Alternative Apps is a website that'll list the top of the line free alternatives to expensive software (both desktop, and web based) However I just started working on it, so I have a lot to work on.

Anyway I'm posting this topic because I wanna see what programs you want listed, if it's your own or what. However It's gotta be a good free alternative like Gimp to PS, Kompozer to Dreamweaver, etc:

Additionally if you have any ideas on the website design, coding, etc: feel free to put it down, as this isn't for me it's for the people, and I want the users to have the best experience using it.

You can head here to see what I've got done so far.

Well I've been working on it today for a few hours, and there's only one bug so far that will be fixed before the release.

Anyway I wanted to see what you guys think about what I've got done so far, and any alternative to certain applications in particular you want listed on there like photoshop, illustrator, etc: (yes thoughs are already on, but are examples)

BTW: The whole website is designed in code, the only images at the moment are the windows/linux/mac icons, as well as the up arrow. Everything else is done in code so make sure your browser supports CSS3, and that Javascript is turned on, cause the effects are done in JQuery.

Your best bet to get the best result is download the file below like normal, and add in the index.html file into your browser.

The source code is no longer available for download!

idoit; The paid applications are listed on the left, and you see their alternatives when you click the link of say dreamweaver lol.

Also if you're looking to add more software to your freeware site or whatever I have a good list on my old forum I don't use anymore. - http://freewaretips.myfreeforum.org/

I know what apps I'm gonna put up right now. I'm just seeing of what apps you guys want me to put on. (btw I'm talking about the closest/best alternatives out there)

I know there's tons more paid software out there, but can't think of any that's willing to be put on the list.

BTW the zip file has just been updated. A minor update, of just the software alternatives for a couple, but still a lot to do.

Edit:
Well the zip file is to big to upload so you'll haft to head here to see what I've achieved so far.

I know FrostWire is built off of LimeWire's source code, but I'm actually just gonna take LimeWire off, unless it's requested to be put on if someone's looking for an alternative. FrostWire is a step ahead on a lot of the other bit torrent clients cause it has a mobile app for android. (I think utorrent does too, but I'm not to sure)

I'm currently making the zooming effect for the images now so when you click on them their size expands. Normally I'd use like FancyBox or make my own Lightbox effect, but this is just gonna have the image slide so the user can still read the content.
