Hello,

One of the biggest problems for many people such as app developers, web developers or anyone who just wants to share photos, documents, videos with other people is where to put them. There are many sites available but most "good" file hosts will be limited and eventually start charging you to use them and that can be very annoying.

A 'Windows Live' feature from Microsoft which I still think a lot of people have overlooked is SkyDrive which is a service available to everyone with a windows live ID completely free of charge. It allows you to upload your files and keep them private, share with friends and family or share with everyone and the bonus of it is that you get a massive 25 GIGABYTES of space for FREE. Its combined with your Live ID so you can easily access your files and send them via email/MSN quick and easy and if you havent done already you should really check it out.

It may even be usefull to use as storage for some of your larger projects and post the links here on the forum. I cant believe you get this space/features for free and its something I personally will be using more often in the future.

Check it out cooll;

mmmm 25 Gig Storage for FREE?

Lets hope it safe and very secure, as we all know that these naughty hackers will try and breach it :(

Sounds good in principle, But i would rather save it on my own Drive/s and then if the Site Crashes, I still have all my S*it where i can get at it easily.

I already use SkyDrive to store all my project backups, images, songs, movies, etc. :)

I am using it for the past 5-6 months and its been great for me. :)

Also hh even if the site crashes, your data will be stored on the server and when
it is up again you can access it. :)

I would recommend users to use SkyDrive for online storage. cooll;

ahh Yeah that statement above, is what i am on about, If you Think of the SONY Breach a while back :( I dont even think they have even got all that sorted yet, and that was weeks ago...

I am sure Microsoft will have things in place to protect people hacking into it? Just like they do on their Operating Systems :)

Sony is not same company as Microsoft, and Microsoft always are good with protections and security.
I already use SkyDrive, and had no problems.

I use DropBox, which is way better. I use it to share some of my files.
