Well I never had any problems with it, worked perfectly fine, but now I can't video chat with anyone, it just shutdowns on me. All drivers are installed, everything is upto date. Before Microsoft bought it, no problems. Microsoft buys it, crashes a lot. So I'm not using it.

I may go back once or twice, but not for awhile. I'll be using Google Voice, and Chat instead. So just thought I'd point it out there that if anyone else has the same problem there is an alternative. (Haft to have a GMail though)

There are ways of diagnosing/resolving these crashes.

whenever i came across error with skype i delete the shared and config files and usually fixs everything for me that is..

shared file can be located here : C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Roaming\Skype\shared.xml

config is located here : C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Roaming\Skype\[SkypeName]\Config.xml

Use Skype 5.1, thats what i use and its perfect
