If you're gonna get an Adobe Product I'd say get After Effects, as their isn't ant free software that truly matches it. Some do, but their limited like
Wax 2.0,
Blender,
Cinelerra, Jahshaka. I can keep going on and on.
However if you buy PS I'd say you're wasting your money as you can do everything in PS in
Gimp. PS is faster, at a lot of stuff, but Gimp gives you more freedom. (Gimp 2.10 the iWarp filter will be a tool, and well 2.8 30+ updates insane!)
No need for Dreamweaver as all you really need is a text editor like Notepad++ (Win), Geany (Lin), or TextWrangler (Mac)
Illustrator has a little more to offer than it's closest alternative
Inkscape, but a lot of the added features I don't see you using in Illustrator. Plus you haven't posted any vector art so I'd recommend using Inkscape first to get the feel of it, and understand it, cause if you don't like/want it then there goes the money ya know?
Adobe Soundbooth is nice, and it's closest alternative
Audacity I'd say to go for, however auto tuning your voice for example you need to get a plugin/extension for the app that you haft to download unlike in Soundbooth it's built in so Audacity needs add-ons to download, but other then that it's your choice here. I personally would save my money as I don't mind getting another free app to do the job or, search and find the extension.
If you wanna get Adobe Flash Professional I'd say save your money as well, cause Adobe made
Project ROME. Some stuff needs code, but you can make a whole interactive website/game without the need of code. However I'd say to avoid flash unless you're making a desktop app, cause there's a lot of developer including myself who won't use flash on websites. The reason why this is, is because adobe banned flash from their Macs, and iOS. Plus other tablets don't have it. So we make our websites in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, JQuery, and/or Ajax/PHP and thoughs users can see the website. It loads faster is more user friendly, and you don't haft to worry about it slowing your computer as bad as flash content does as it uses more memory, and cpu. So if you wanna give that a try checkout a program Adobe's working on called
Adobe Edge. My friend Daniel already did a
tutorial on it.
Now I want you to take a look at the prices of these products
Photoshop $799
Illustrator $599
Flash Pro $699
After Effects $999
Dreamweaver $399
Now the
Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection is $2,599.
However there's free software for all this that is just as good in not better. Plus the prices of these you could get a whole new computer. So maybe try that instead. Doesn't hurt to have an extra comp.
