I dont get minecraft :?

Is it an MMO? almost all the videos ive seen are of people playing on private servers or with just a few people etc...I know you mine and craft stuff then can build stuff..but what is the point/goal/aim?

its a sand box game where the only objective is to live and get stuff the day is *almost* safe and the night is where you will go and end up dieing in the new part of it there is a end world but i dont like that since it make it so you can win at the game.

Its like garry's mod, but you only have blocks lol
Oh and since 1.0 there is a storyline(well kind of lol) you need to get some resources first, then defeat the enderdragon :P

Sure, it needs hamachi though. Yep I know how to port forward but unfortunately my Internet does short lags on the external ip every 15 seconds. If that's ok I can pm you the network details.
