Hello Codenstuffers,

I am in a modding team which is converting the whole GTA IV map to GTA San Andreas' engine. The purpose of this mod is to enable those people to enjoy the GTA IV game who can't run it because of low pc specs. Currently, we are converting it by hand and it is going to take forever. So we need a software which can convert the various formats of GTA IV into GTA SA ones. These formats include:
WDR (IV) to DFF (SA)
WTD (IV) to TXD (SA)
IDE (IV) to IDE (SA)
WPL (IV) to IPL (SA)
If anyone can help me with those, it will be great! It will take half (or less) the time it is going to take now. If anyone can help me, please let me know.

Thanks.

(I couldn't find an appropriate topic for this, so I posted it here. Please move it if you want)

Try "Universial Extractor" then compile the files you got into the DFF etc file formats. Maybe that works?

Nope, that won't work.

I think the easiest way is to convert it to a model file (like blender/3dsmax) using some tool and then converting it back using a tool that converts blender/3dsmax to dff/txd/ide/ipl
and clanc, universal extractor is a completely different thing

Your hope didn't work out, lol. It only converts DFF to WDR.

And Axel, there aren't many tools out there which do this stuff. That's why I was asking you to make one. If anyone can do it, please let me know. You just have to study the files and then learn their pattern. After that, it won't be difficult at all. After all, nothing is impossible.

I found this link about the WDR file format, and this link to the DFF file format, I'm going to do it sorry, but anyone else can.

MrAksel, were you trying to say that you're not going to do it? It's okay. And I'll check out the links right away.

Yes, first of all I don't have time, but Im not sure I can do it either unless I used like 2 months (and I quit projects like a week after I start on them).
