hi guys ,
hello guys i am stucked to achieve my ambition , my ambition is to become a software engineer but i heard mathematics is very important to become a software engineer . is it true ? . i tried to follow a programming course after my o/l s so i sent a email to my uncle and i got the reply it says if you want to go to a programming course or to follow you should get good marks in mathematics and english . english is not a problem for me but mathematics i get lower marks and i hate mathematics . i only want to know is mathematics needed to become a software engineer ? and for what mathematics is needed in programming ?

I guess math is important for many tasks. Depends on what you are going to work with. The first thing that comes to my mind is image/audio processing. Of course, at a higher level of programming you will start using numbers with different bases, where base 2 (binary) and base 16 (hexadecimal) are the most important.

One thing to realize is EVERYTHING in life is math. When you go skateboarding to do say a bs feeble you align yourself before you ollie to do the grind. That's Math! When you read time, That's Math! I can go on, and on, but I think MrAksel summed it up pretty simple for you bro.

Also the community here is most of the time very helpful, sometimes questions don't get answered as usually this case means no one knows, or simply just hasn't seen your post, but still great community, and if you have questions we have answers

Not only is music math, but it's been prooven that playing some sort of musical instrument helps the brain develop math abilities, since it trains you to multitask and think multiple things at once.
