Recent Updates

Hello Coders,
Earlier the site was disabled for about 15 minutes to allow the site to be updated and I apologise if this inconvenienced anyone and I am happy to say that the site is back online and working normally. The latest stage of our site updates is now complete and we should have no further disruptions for a little while so please continue using the site as normal and I will let you know in advance when the next site updates begin.
This is what was added during the recent updates.
Member Tags
This feature allows you to tag another member in your posts and is useful if you just want to highlight a users name or make them aware of your post for whatever reason. More information can be found here: Member Tagging
Group Forums
Members of certain groups can now socialise with other group members in their own customised forum section which I like to call group pages because these can now have custom banners and forum colours making them stand out from the rest of the site. General layout changes
The post option buttons for (edit, quote, report, delete) have been changed to smaller icons instead of buttons which fit in more with the layout of the pages and are not so in your face as the other ones were. All the buttons and input boxes have also had a facelift and been made "sexier" with nice rounded edges and smoother fonts which I think looks really good and I hope you like them aswell.
Announcement Bar
The announcement bar at the top of the site will now change colour depending on the type of announcement being made.
Grey Bar = General announcement
Red Bar = Important announcement that you must read
Gold Bar = Contests and special event announcements
A lot of other fixes/changes were done behind the scenes to make things easier for me when modifying groups, forums and other site options which doesnt mean much to you guys but is great for me
lol.
A list of some fixes (the ones I can remember)
Twitter feed panel in profiles has been stretched to fit the new site width
Top bloggers list had an error in its layout now fixed
Large images used in blogs use to force the layout to fly off the page - now fixed
People using offisite download code in their blogs broke the entire layout making blogs unreadable - now fixed
Latest on home page showed the default avatar as a square so it was changed to have curved edges like the rest
Removed dead videos from the videos section
Moved a lot of javascript code so it loads last which should hopefully speed up page loading a little
Removed a lot of dead/unused code from the site scripts for features that are no longer used
Im sure I changed more things but I just cant remember what they are lol
Loads more updates are almost ready to go and more will be made in the future including a new 'social' feature that will be added to the site later this year so it may be a good idea to start adding some members to your friends list
