Hello alc955,
I have never been able to figure out why so many people have this problem. Every time I follow the tutorial it works perfect first time.
I am aware that most problems reported are from people using windows Vista/7 operating systems and you may be able to fix it by downloading a patch file. Please read this topic for a little more information: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=711&p=4005&hilit=recorder#p4005
If your system is 64bit you will need to download different encoders.

possibly check their website if they have one
Nailing my feet to the floor is easier than using my own muscles to balance, but you don't see me doing that
