Hello coders,

Wow its hard to believe that we have been up and running for a whole year now and we have reached our first birthday. Yes Codenstuff.com is officially 1 year old today and personally I think its been a great year. It feels like only yesterday that I first thought up and created the site with very little funds and almost zero knowledge on how to create and run a web site like this. I remember starting out with a basic free web site at weebly.com but to come from that to this has been an amazing experience and I haven't looked back since.

Within the first couple of weeks of starting up we started to get our first members and 2 of them in particular have been with us from the very beginning and helped to create the site that you see here today. Nery brought his knowledge of forums and helped me to setup a wide variety of sections and even though he hasn't been around much lately he is still a valuable member of the team. hungryhounduk very generously donated lots of his time and talent to create many of the amazing graphics that you see all around the site and I am so grateful to both of them because the site would not be here if it wasn't for their continued support and generosity. So if you see either one of them today please stop and give them a hug lol. Its not just Nery or hungryhounduk who have helped but also every other member of the site because seriously without all of you the site probably wouldn't be here today.

The site has seen allot of changes over the last 12 months going from a generic looking forum site to a rather unique site with its own style and personality that makes it stand out. As with any web site we have had our ups and downs with the occasional downtime and its fare share of spammers but we didn't give up and we came through it ok with our heads held high. We now have over 1000 members, 2000 topics and over 15000 posts under our belts which I think is fantastic considering we have had very little advertising and relied primarily on word-of-mouth between members and friends. Every site takes time to get off the ground and I'm very happy with those statistics but I'm certain that this year will see a big increase in users and active members and by this time next year we would have tripled those statistics.

We have also seen hundreds of great tutorials and completed applications made by all of you and considering many of you knew very little about programming when you first joined us I'm very impressed at the work you've been doing and progress your all making. I know of a couple of members who had spent months trying to find the answer to a question and couldn't find it but on their first day here they got the answer they were looking for and could finally complete their project and THAT is what this site is all about. We are all here to learn/teach and share our knowledge and passion for all things programming and it makes you feel so good knowing that you helped someone and put a smile on their face.

Personally I've made alot of friends here and met some truly amazing people who I'm so honored and proud to know and wouldn't change it for anything in the world. I honestly don't know of a better community or group of people anywhere else online and I can say with complete honesty that its been the best year of my life.

Next week will see the start of a whole new year with an improved site layout and design which will continue to change and get even better as the site grows so lets make this year as good as (if not even better) than the last 12 months.

I want to thank you all for helping to create the site and sticking with us throughout the year. You are all part of the Codenstuff.com family and your all here for the site and the site will remain here for as long as its needed so here's to many more wonderful years ahead.

I am proud to see this site as it is. We've been here for an entire year, it is just amazing that CodeNStuff, HungryHoundUK, and Nery haven't messed up anything with this site. It is perfect in every way, many varieties of people, tutorials, and sections, I just can't believe it! I love this site as if it were my own, I come here every day and try to be helpful and get helped. This site has improved me from making very small generic applications in Vb6 to good looking multi-functional programs in VB08, C#, and anything else. This site is, with complete honesty, THE BEST SITE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. YouTube hasn't even been as helpful as this site. I want to say thank you to everyone who has helped me be as good a programmer as I am today. CodenStuff has helped me when all else couldn't, and we have many great programmers here. I, for 1, think Mandai, that great great programmer, should be in the CodenStuff Elite. The variety of people we have is amazing. We have Scottie, the master of MySQL and many other things, Casirus, he is so smart, he is actually being able to make a Video Editor in VB. CodenStuff, he was/is actually being able to make an instant messenger in VB, HungryHound, he is the best in graphics, and many many more very helpful and smart people. And, CodenStuff, you are the most helpful, smart, hardworking, nice, friendly guy I have ever met. Thanks to everybody on the site for all the support in this site, and for the help.

Thanks Nery, Hungry , and all the wounderful people of CodenStuff. Even though i have been here for 5 months and 3 days, i have had great time meeting everyone cooll; . I am glad to say that i was able to find Codenstuff.com ;).
I have learned alot on what vb.net was and programming .

I may have only been a member here for almost 4 months, and this is without a doubt the best programming site I've ever been on, nor seen, on the web.

I've already learned a lot more then when I was just trying to do things all alone, and made some great friends on here (although I don't post much, cause I'm very busy, but I'd like to make more friends on here as well)
