Hello,
I was just doing my daily check on what happening in the news and I came across this article about an internet entrepreneur whos made his first million at just 16 years old selling a Mac box bundle of apps and it got me interested so I had a look around a found a list of other teen entrepreneurs who have made millions online.
I came across this site: http://www.retireat21.com/blog/top-20-y ... s-under-21#
On it is a list of about 20 people who have made it big online and alot of them started out very young which is very inspirational and amazing. One girl made a fan-site based on her favourite game 'Neopets' which has cheats/guides and free stuff for the virtual game and she has made a success of it. Another has made a success of his site which allows its members to create a custom avatar for themselves alot like a virtual game and lets you play games and post on the forums to earn points which you can then use to purchase outfits and other items for your avatar. Others made a success of creating/selling apps, building their own domain buying and selling site, search engines and web hosting businesses.
It just goes to show that with effort hard work and dedication anyone of any age can make a success of their idea. Wether your a software developer, web programmer or graphics designer if you have an idea that you believe could be the next big thing or make a living using your talent then I say go for it and make your idea a reality before someone else does. Alot of people are making a very good living rite now developing apps for mobile devices and although the big one is iPhone/iPad you can create apps for others like Nokia Ovi, Blackberry and Microsoft devices.
With all the new gadgets appearing on the market on almost a daily basis I think that is where everyone will have the best chance of success, developing apps/software for these devices.
I think the success these teens have made from their ideas is amazing and knowing that most of them started out with a simple computer in their bedroom with their pocket money and getting to where they are today is even more amazing.
Could you be the next internet entrepreneur cooll;

Hi Codenstuff
I read the article about the 12 year old in the Daily Mail this week cooll; and Yes the youngsters dont know how Lucky they are, I wish we had Computers when i was at school, as i think if we had then what they have now, then things would be a lot different.
But Top marks too them tho
You just got to have a great idea and research it, research is the key

Nailing my feet to the floor is easier than using my own muscles to balance, but you don't see me doing that

Hello,
Yes you are absolutely correct hungryhounduk they have it so great now. If we had fast PCs, mobile phones and broadband when we were younger it would have made our lives completely different.
Most people stay in now though instead of going out and climbing trees, getting upto mischief, playing curby and the other stuff that made it fun to be young lol. Kids get phoned up on their mobiles to be told their dinners ready..I can remember when my mum use to stick her head out the door and shouted it and I heard her from half a mile away lol :lol:
Still I suppose people have to move with the times and its all about electronics now and thats where everyones future is going to be.
