Greetings!

I came here from a quest that eventually led me through YouTube to here, and here I am looking to learn more about the IMBeta messenger/chat right up front, but am looking around closer at the other areas where more fellow geekoids hang and share.

I am currently a college student at close to 50yo and going for a degree in web programming, with classes dealing with Java, JavaScript, MySQL, PHP and Visual Basic using, at this time, Visual Studio 2008. And although I am learning alot, I learn more by doing.

After my 1st semester I made a dual-paneled, tabbed web browser with built-in rich text editor, 1-click screenshot, etcetera. I continue with other project, but like others who have found themselves here, seek the holy grail of learning instant communications via a chat or messenger service.

The ability to peruse this IMBeta would be not only helpful for myself, but also allow me to input on the project in the future, as well as include any original interesting projects others may be interested in. One of which may be a Photo-Clock to show images every minute using MySQL, AJAX and such.

I am also a SprayPaint Artist, Photographer and Animal-Welfare advocate. I work with such organizations as the National Wildlife Humane Society and the United Arts Alliiance. My plate is full, but I am a starving college student basically, with no current employment, but optimistic this shall change in the near future.

we have a really Good Community here with lots of Tutorials and some really Talented people who just hang out and get involved ( ) which is what this site is really about.
