System Test
CodenStuff
Hello,

If you have a spare couple of minutes could you please download and test this small application for me. Its a small program that checks to see if your system has any problems working with files/registry from VB code.

All it will do is create 2 folders and populate them with 10 files, move the files, delete the files and add/remove an entry in the registry.

It will not harm your system in any way!.

After running the application please reply to this post and let me know if you had any problems/errors while running it and also your OS version, for example my OS is: Windows XP SP3 - 32bit

Download:

Thank you cooll;

It worked perfectly except when adding registry, my anti virus paused the process and made a warning of the registry change but i clicked allow and then everything worked perfectly!

My OS is: Windows XP Professional SP2 - 32 bit.

Hello,

Excellent :D. In case anyones wondering why I did this its just because some people keep reporting that some apps dont work on their machines and the errors were mainly down to file access and registry access settings and because all of you use different OS's it was a good way of finding out which ones gave errors.

But it seems it works on virtually all OS's and CPUs so thats sorted that problem out ;)

Thanks for taking the time to test and help me out everyone cooll;

Just kidding man, don't worry. Works fine on Windows XP Sp3

If it doesn't work for above ( Vista, W7)

They MUST run it as admin. Registry requires Administrator for Vista or Above

Also, I needed Admin to make a file to my C:\ Drive on my vista ... so yeah...

Run as Admin, kk.
