Hi All
Here is the Desktop Slug, Its just the .exe and when clicked will load the Slug onto your Windows Desktop cooll;
![Image]()
You can click and move it with the mouse to wherever you want and it has a ContextMenu added to exit the Slug app.
It does move across the screen and when i have got it to stop at the screen bounds i will update it and post it up.
UPDATE 15:10PM
Updated Version you can now activate Scrolling the Slug by the Context Menu ( its just static as it loads, as in it does not Scroll Automically )
You can also stop or Start the Scrolling by the Context Menu cooll;
***For best results at the moment, make your Desktop Screen White and then Launch the Slug
Happy Desktop Sluggers :lol:

Why does this remind me of the Worms Deskmate???
I hate how the transparency key makes the edges pixelated, but one thing that needs to be improved is when it's scrolling and reaches the end on the monitor have it show up on the other side, or have it slide there instead of it not being visible on the desktop if you know what I mean.

Yeah the Edges really bug the hell out of me devil; and i just dont know how to get them nice and smooth and believe me i had tried everything, from feathering, Bluring, recreating Gifs from scratch ( still the same) I dont know what the answer is, But hopefully if i can work that out then i will do more to it..
I was thinking of having the Slug turn around when it reaches the desktop bounds or maybe bounce as it hits the screen, that might look cool. But if i dont sort the Gif edges out then there is no point continuining it, as it does look terrible on the edges.
Chris
I made some in the past, but never released them, cause of that edges issue that I hate. I don't have them anymore though. Kind of wish I did now.
Hmm just a thought but couldnt you save each individual frame (with smooth edges) into resources and cycle through each image 1 at a time to "simulate" animated gif..if that makes sense :?
Like maybe have a timer and in the timer tick change the picturebox image to the next frame or something like that.

We shall let the revolution begin.. the revolution for freedom, freedom against censorship. We shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender
