Hello,

We got a delivery of 'Archos 5 Internet Tablets with Android' in the shop today because my boss knows some people who know some other people lol. The reason he got them was because they are faulty stock and have been completely written off by the company he got them from. Apparently with of their employees thought it would be a good idea to leave a crate of electronic goods outside the warehouse in the pooring rain a few months ago while he/she went to some appointment lol how stupid can you get :lol:

Anyway almost everything was water damaged and what they couldnt salvage was tossed in a back room until someone like my boss came along and emptied the room lol. Theres about 14 in total and ive been working all day today taking one apart (the one I found that was in the best condition) and searching online for repair instructions/firmware downloads etc and this afternoon I managed to get one working wahooo;

I have to say its an amazing little touch-screen gizmo it plays music/videos I can surf the web on it with wifi and I even downloaded some 3D games on it which work amazingly well :? ..its got a 5" screen with 8GB flash memory. Im really surprised that it still works especially after seeing the state of the boxes it came in they were like paper pulp lol. I think in my spare time I will see if I can get the others working and if I can then they would make GREAT prizes for contests ;)

You know i have been looking at those Android Tablets over the last 6 months, But due to the Price of even Second Hand ones with at least 8 Gig memory they were outside my price range at the time

Excellent News hope you do get the others working as i would love to Win one as a Prize ( if i am Lucky enough )

Yes I know I've been looking at them this year but mainly the china ones off ebay cost about 70pound something called apad android tablet. This archos is awesome though I'm using it to type this rite now lol. I hope I can fix somemore otherwise its a waste nd that would be a shame
