Now im in 9th class and i'll soon have to decide what high school I'll go in.
And for choosing one, it would be nice if i'd roughly know what i want to do later in my life.
I have NO idea, but because i like coding very much i think programmer would be something I could do
So... If anyone actualy is professional programmer or knows anything about it let me know what you think about it, what you like/don't like and so on.
Even if it's not actually your JOB you can tell me about it and write what do you think.
thanks

<3 VB & Python
well , i actually wanted to do that too ! but then i looked a bit further... in 10 years(then im23 ) almost everyone can program and they will need less programmers... And the other fact was , i started programming like 2 years ago but i did metal(and wood) processing since i was a kid
I think programming is the way to go because if you look at all the new technology like smart phones and touch pad computers coming out with apple/windows and android OS's then programmers are going to be in high demand. Apple have the iphone/ipad..Microsoft has the new win7 phones and Google has android which is being used in all sorts of devices so I think that if you can learn to program for atleast 1 of these platforms then you will have a very good future.
I know of a few hobby programmers who currently make apps for the iphone and are making over £25,000 a month and they just work for themselves from home. A lot of businesses are dying/struggling to keep going but they will always be a demand and oportunities for programmers even if you decide to just work for yourself.

Hey codenstuff,
Why don't you simply learn one of the languages and start a job?
