Hi. I am wondering if there is a way to use the desktop as a webcam, so i can show it on skype, oovoo, etc. Thanks!

Skype has a feature for that (Also MSN), but I know other programs that would do the same... Hold on, I will try to find... (Will edit this post)

Yes there are virtual webcam drivers provided in programs like ManyCam that you can use with any conferencing software.

does that basically change what programs (like oovoo and skype) "See" from the webcams? like if i add text to the image from the webcam, the people i am talking to with oovoo will see that. Thanks!

You can set it up to use a webcam as a source then you can add text effects.
