its a little bland, for a first you did better than i would lol
Nailing my feet to the floor is easier than using my own muscles to balance, but you don't see me doing that

I love userbars but I don't use them because of the reason I use my own signatures which pretty much takes all the signature space and if I will add more, they will look bad. And about your userbar, as it's your first try, it's excellent!

Looks nice, I don't like the yellow color, but that's me.
I'd say make the text white, with a black border, as well as being centered vertically, and you're good.
